Summary of the lesson: Students analyze a music video (Pretty Hurts by Beyonce) and verbalize their assumptions in discussions about what the concept of female beauty is. They share their views with their peers. They explore healthy ways and motivations to change their figure and distinguish them from hazardous ones.
Level: B2 - B2+
Aims:
- Developing students’ speaking skills;
- Creating a more accepting group atmosphere;
- Communicating to students that they should not torture their body because of being pressed by society, and if they wish to change their appearance, they should stick to healthy and professional ways.
